Christmas is right around the corner, and residents who need extra cash this holiday season should check to see if they have unclaimed money listed with foundmoney.com

Some State Treasury Offices hold milions and even billions in unclaimed property, which includes money from uncashed payroll checks, old bank accounts, royalties, utility deposits, interest payments, stock certificates and life insurance proceeds. In Louisiana alone one in six Louisiana residents has unclaimed money wanted to be given back from a few dollars to thousands.


To make sure that State Treasury Unclaimed Property Offices to return money quickly during the holidays, you must provide a complete and accurate claim form and ownership of a claimed property must be verified. In most cases an individual needs a Social Security Card, driver’s license or other form of identification to claim his or her money.
